What qualification will I get?

Once you’ve completed the IT Support course, you’ll receive a Level 3 qualification in IT Support. This is equivalent to an A level or and advanced apprenticeship, and gives you a strong foundation of knowledge to begin a career in IT Support or go on to a higher level course.

How is the IT Support course assessed?

Throughout the IT Support course your progress will be assessed by your tutor, who will use those assessments to monitor your learning. There will also be tests to check your progress and understanding.

Where does the IT Support course take place?

The course will be taught fully online with face-to-face classes with our experienced tutors, so you can complete the course from the comfort of your own home. The exam will also be taken online.

Because the course is online, you’ll need access to a computer and a reliable internet connection to take part. Our online courses are easy to get started with and support interactive learning, so you can engage with tutors in real-time.

How long does the IT Support course take?

The course takes place over 12 days with the 12 days spread out over 6 weeks.

Your course will run on the same 2 days every week for 6 weeks so you can fit the lessons easily into your schedule.

How much does the IT Support course cost?

This course won’t cost you a thing, fully-funded by the UK Government’s Free Courses for Jobs scheme.

There are some eligibility requirements to take part in the course:

  • You need to be aged 19 or over.
  • If you’re between 19 and 23 years old, you’ll need another Level 3 qualification. (For example, 2 A Levels, 4 AS Levels, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent)
  • Either unemployed or employed and earning under £25,000 a year.
  • Reside full-time in the UK with the right to work.
  • Undergo initial assessments in English and Maths (BKSB Assessment).
