We are pleased to announce that Portland Training has become a Silver Partner of the Forces Transition Group (FTG), an organisation dedicated to supporting service leavers, veterans, blue light personnel and their families as they move into civilian life.
What This Partnership Means
Becoming a Silver Partner reflects Portland Training’s commitment to FTG’s mission of helping people transition confidently from service to civilian employment, further training or other fulfilling career paths. FTG offers a wide range of services including job fairs, training courses, CV support, networking opportunities and career coaching.
As a Silver Partner, Portland Training will be actively involved in several of FTG’s key initiatives. This may include contributing to training programmes aligned with the FTG Framework, supporting FTG Live Transition Days, delivering workshops or mentoring, and ensuring that service leavers can access recognised qualifications and clear training pathways.

The Benefits of Partnership
For service leavers, this collaboration means access to high quality training, trusted support and increased opportunities to build new careers.
For Portland Training, it represents an opportunity to align with FTG’s respected network, demonstrate its value to those in transition and contribute meaningfully to the veteran and blue light community.
For the wider community, it creates stronger connections between training providers and the forces sector, encouraging the sharing of expertise and improving the support available to all.
A Shared Purpose
Portland Training and FTG share the same goal of helping people leaving service build sustainable futures through skills, confidence and education.
We look forward to continuing to working together to deliver accessible, accredited training and to continue supporting individuals on their journey into civilian employment.
