A CSCS gold advanced craft card is a qualification that allows construction workers to take on more responsibility on site. With this card, construction workers can prove that they have the skills and knowledge needed to safely carry out more complex tasks.
In order to apply for a gold advanced craft CSCS card, construction workers must first complete an accredited construction training course. Once they have completed their training, they can then sit for the gold advanced craft CSCS exam.
Once they have passed the exam, construction workers will be issued with their gold advanced craft CSCS card. This card will need to be renewed every five years in order to stay valid.
If you have already achieved a Level 3 NVQ or SVQ in construction, or if you have an equivalent qualification, then you can apply for a gold advanced craft CSCS card. You will need to have at least two years’ experience working in a construction role to be eligible. Once you have your card, it will be valid for five years.
Applicants who have passed the appropriate training and qualifications can find their level of qualification using the CSCS Card Finder. The Gold card is for those who have already completed Level 3 NVQs or SVQs, or are highly skilled in construction-related fields or holding a Level 3 HSE Certificate.

The gold advanced craft card is valid for five years from the date of issue. After five years, you will need to renew your card by taking and passing a new CSCS test.
