What do I need to complete the Level 3 NVQ in Occupational Work Supervision?
To enroll in the Level 3 NVQ in Occupational Work Supervision, you typically need to meet the following criteria:
Relevant Experience: You should have significant work experience in construction site supervision or a related field.
Current Employment: You must be currently employed in a construction site supervisor role or have access to suitable construction sites for assessment purposes.
Relevant Qualifications: While there are no formal educational requirements, having a related construction qualification or professional certifications can be advantageous. Being employed as a site supervisor may also require the SSSTS qualification, this can be very beneficial.
How long does a Level 3 NVQ in Occupational Work Supervision take to complete?
This NVQ can be completed at the convenience of the candidate. If you are willing to undertake more time to complete your NVQ, then you will obtain the qualification faster.

With this qualification, you must undertake all six of the mandatory units, plus a minimum of two optional units.

- Confirming work activities and resources for an occupational work area in the workplace
- Developing and maintaining good occupational working
relationships in the workplace - Confirming the occupational method of work in the workplace
- Implementing and maintaining health, safety, environmental
and welfare practices in the workplace - Co-ordinating and organising work operations in the workplace
- Monitoring progress of work against schedules in the workplace
Optional Units:
- Allocating and monitoring the use of plant, machinery, equipment or vehicles in the workplace
- Confirming work meets contractual, industry and manufacturers’ standards in the workplace
- Implementing procedures to support team performance in the workplace
- Co-ordinating and confirming the dimensional control requirements of the work in the workplace
