Get Qualified in Construction

Construction NVQs

A construction NVQ is a nationally recognised qualification that demonstrates your skills and competence in a particular trade or occupation in the construction industry. The NVQ is made up of units that cover all aspects of your job, from health and safety to specific technical skills. To achieve an NVQ, you will need to demonstrate that you can safely and effectively carry out the tasks required of you in your job.

At Portland Training, we offer many different types of construction NVQs, and the type you choose will depend on your specific career goals or job requirements. Please see below for our range of construction NVQs, click the links to find out more.

For more information on any of our NVQs or guidance on which NVQ is right for you, please get in touch and a member of our team will be more than happy to help.

CITB Funding & Grants

If you are a member of the CITB and pay into their levy, you could be eligible to claim the vast majority of the training costs for each NVQ qualification your employees undertake. This significantly reduces the cost of training. You can find out more about CITB funding and grants here.
