Upon completion of a Level 4 NVQ in Construction, you will be able to apply for your Gold Supervisor CSCS card. In order to obtain your Gold Supervisor CSCS card you will have to complete a NVQ level 3/4 and a CITB health and safety test. Its important to note that you cannot obtain your Gold CSCS card with SSSTS alone, you must complete a relevant NVQ in construction.

What is a Gold Supervisor CSCS Card
The Gold supervisor CSCS card evidences that you have the required qualifications and health and safety expertise to operate as a construction site supervisor. You must complete a NVQ level 4 or NVQ level 3 to obtain this card.
CSCS cards are provided by the CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) which serves as the industry benchmark for construction certification in the United Kingdom. By obtaining your Gold Supervisor CSCS card you are able to legitimise and compliantly evidence your qualifications and capacity to work as a site supervisor.
How much is a Gold Supervisor CSCS card?
A Gold Supervisor CSCS card will cost you £36; this is the same price for all CSCS cards. However, before applying for your gold card, you will need to complete the CITB health and safety test which costs £22.50. This means that in total you will need to spend £58.50 when applying for your Gold Supervisor CSCS card.

CITB Training Grants: Claim back money on your NVQ Level 4
The CITB have recently more than doubled the available grant claim amount for Level 4 NVQs from £600 to a staggering £1250. If the company you work/ subcontract for are CITB registered, then you’ll be able to claim £1250 back upon completion of your NVQ.
