What You'll Learn
This Skills Bootcamp allows learners to obtain a fully funded Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Construction and Civil Engineering Operations (Reinstatement). You will also have the choice of 5 plant qualifications to gain- completely free of charge.
This course is delivered in a hybrid model, featuring 4 engaging online modules that complement your in-person assessment.

Qualifications
Upon completion of our Skills Bootcamp in Construction participants will achieve their NVQ level 2 free of charge as well as gaining a plant qualification.
Fully Funded NVQ (Blue CSCS Card*)
This skills bootcamp enables you to obtain a fully funded NVQ Level 2, allowing you to apply for your blue CSCS card. This card showcases your skill in the construction industry and your ongoing skill enhancement, opening doors to career advancement.
Choice of Plant Qualification
Our Skills Bootcamp for the employed will grant learners the choice of 5 plant qualifications to develop their skills. These are:
- Forward Tipping Dumper
- Ride-on Roller
- Wheeled Loading Shovel
- Forklift- Telescopic Handler
- Forklift- Industrial

Eligibility Criteria
To join Portland Training’s Skills Bootcamp in Construction, applicants must:
- Be aged 19 or above.
- Be employed in a relevant construction role.
- Reside full-time in the UK with the right to work.
- Undergo initial assessments in English and Maths (BKSB Assessment).
- Not have attended a previous Skills Bootcamp.
Assessment
This course offers a blend of online and in-person delivery. While completing an online course over 8 weeks to complement your learning, you’ll also undergo assessment for your NVQ qualification at your workplace by our experienced assessors. The online component consists of 4 engaging modules featuring exercises, quizzes, and videos specifically tailored to this course.
Duration
Our Skills Bootcamp for the employed is 8 weeks long.
