Today our team at Portland faced off against Dutton Recruitment in an 11 a side charity football match with the aim to raise money for a defibrillator I think it’s safe to say after playing for 90 minutes we’re all going to be aching for the next few days!
The match was hosted at Bramall Lane, home of Sheffield United Football Club, which added a surreal touch to the experience. We participated to raise funds for a defibrillator for Portland’s training headquarters. Thanks to the generosity of everybody involved, we’re thrilled to announce that we raised an impressive £530!
Although our team didn’t manage to win, the experience was fantastic for everyone involved. It wasn’t just about the outcome of the game; it was about coming together for a good cause and enjoying every moment. Despite being exhausted after the match, we all had a great time. After the football game, we all came together for a well deserved pie and peas to celebrate, it was a great way for us all to wind down after playing for a long 90 minutes.
