Portland Training is thrilled to announce the successful delivery of our first Explore Your Potential in Digital Skills session, in partnership with Beverley Jobcentre Plus. This programme is specifically designed to help younger claimants gain the confidence and digital skills needed to progress into administrative or remote working roles.
In today’s digital-first job market, having strong computer skills is essential. Our programme focuses on building practical knowledge in key areas such as:
Microsoft Office packages – learn to work efficiently with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Online security – understand how to protect personal and professional information online.
General computer literacy – gain confidence navigating devices, software, and online tools.
Personal safety awareness – develop awareness of staying safe in digital and remote work environments.

By completing the programme, participants will be better equipped to enter the workforce, improve their employability, and explore opportunities in administrative and remote roles. Our aim is to support learners in gaining the skills, confidence, and practical knowledge required to thrive in modern workplaces.
