This 11 day course provides unemployed learners with the opportunity to not only gain experience and knowledge in a variety of security related areas, but will also equip learners with the SIA licence which is essential to work within the security industry.

What do I get from this course?

During the SIA course, you will learn valuable skills which will help you build up your career within the security industry. This three week course will provide you with a L2 Award in understanding Stewarding at spectator events, Emergency First Aid at Work, SIA Door Supervisor training and exams. During this amazing course, you will progress to work in a range of security roles, including Door Supervisors, event security, stadium stewards, festival security and many more.

The assessment includes 4 multiple choice exams and various physical assessments.

Do I Need To Pay For This Course?

If you meet certain entry requirements for this SIA course you may be eligible to enrol onto the course free of charge.The entry requirements for this course are:

 

  • 19+ (24+ years old for Peterborough)
  • A full-time resident in the UK and meet other residency criteria
  • unemployed and in receipt of government benefits 
  • Employed and earning less than the threshold amount

 

Threshold amounts:

 

  • West Yorkshire – £23,400
  • Cambridgeshire and Peterborough – £22,500
  • Non-Devolved (National) – £20,319

If you’re looking for a practical, hands-on career in construction, but you don’t have any experience within this industry, then you need to take a look at this course.

We offer a 10 day Fast Track to Construction course which can help learners with little to no experience in this field learn essential skills which will help boost their employability when finding a job in construction.

What Do I Get From This Course?

This qualification will support people who want to work in the construction industry by giving them the essential skills to proceed to getting their Green CSCS Card. Course participants will learn construction health and safety, groundworks, including their Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment award.

Do I Need To Pay For This Course?

For those who are eligible, we will fund the CSCS test and card. Meaning you won’t have to pay anything!

Fork lift Truck Course

We offer a 10 day Forklift course which is aimed for those who would like to gain qualifications and experience in Forklift Truck driving and want to progress into employment in this area.

This course provides the learners with knowledge of the working environment with specific scenarios they may face when operating a Forklift Truck.

What Do I Get From This Course?

This course offers full accredited training and testing on a counterbalance Forklift Truck that will enable you to achieve your FLT certificate and demonstrate their competence.On Successful completion of the test, learners will receive a nationally recognised certificate in Forklift Truck Driving from the RTITB or ITSSAR (depending on location). This certificate is valid for three years.
