Our Day Volunteering at FoodCycle

At Portland Training, we believe in giving back to the community and making a positive impact wherever we can. Recently, two of our dedicated colleagues, Lucy and Jude, spent a day volunteering at FoodCycle, an organisation committed to make food poverty, loneliness and food waste a thing of the past for every community. Here’s a glimpse into their experience

Here’s what Lucy had to say about the day:

“I had a great time and would do it again. I highly recommend FoodCycle for future volunteering; our project leader was brilliant!”

We’re proud of our team for their dedication and community spirit. Thank you, Lucy and Jude, for representing us so well and making a positive impact! 🙌💜

Why FoodCycle?

FoodCycle is an incredible organisation that aims to reduce food waste, bring communities together through shared meals, and support mental health, wellbeing and reduce loneliness. The efforts of volunteers like Lucy and Jude are crucial to their mission. By turning surplus food into delicious meals, FoodCycle helps to tackle both social isolation and food poverty, making a real difference in people’s lives.
