Portland Training is proud to announce our support for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal by volunteering to distribute poppies at Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield…
In early November, our team members dedicated a day out of their week to help raise funds for this remarkable cause, encouraging the public to wear poppies in tribute to those who have served.
The Royal British Legion stands as the UK’s largest Armed Forces charity, with 180,000 members, 110,000 volunteers, and partnerships across a wide network of charities. The Legion provides support where it’s needed most, from expert advice and rehabilitation services to helping veterans and their families transition to civilian life. Their unwavering support is available to veterans from day one of service and continues throughout their lives.
Each year, the Royal British Legion leads the nation in honouring those who have served, as well as remembering those who lost their lives in active service. This commemoration spans all conflicts, from the First World War to the present day, recognising both servicemen and women and their families. Every November, the Legion’s Poppy Appeal distributes millions of poppies to raise crucial funds for the Armed Forces community.
At Portland Training, we are honoured to contribute to this significant appeal, raising awareness and funds to support the incredible work of the Royal British Legion.
