The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Construction using Off-site Manufactured Assemblies -Cold Formed Steel Frame (Assembly/Erection) pathway has been developed for achievement in a real workplace environment which means the learner needs to be employed to undertake this pathway.
This pathway enables the learner to demonstrate and recognise their skills, knowledge and understanding and to demonstrate their competence in a real workplace environment so the learner can work in the off-site manufactured assemblies sector.
This pathway supports the learner to attain enabling, fundamental and transferable practical skills with associated underpinning knowledge.
The learner will learn key practical skills and knowledge in these mandatory units:
-Preparing and assembling cold formed steel frames in the workplace
-Installing supplementary steel frame finishings in the workplace
-Erecting steel frame walls, floors and roofs in the workplace
-Moving and handling resources in the workplace
-Conforming to productive working practices in the workplace
-Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace.
You will be assessed against a set of performance and knowledge statements which have been derived from National Occupational Standards for your occupational area. You will be assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified assessor whose job is to work with you and help you complete your qualification.
There are no formal entry requirements to take this qualification. This qualification can be undertaken without any previous training or qualifications in this subject area.
