What is a Gold Supervisor Card?
The Gold Supervisor Card is a card provided by the CSCS which can be obtained upon completion of a relevant level 3 NVQ in construction. The card proves that you have the relevant qualification, skill and experience to be a site supervisor. A gold supervisor card is the gold standard in the construction industry, allowing future employers to evidence your competence and high working ability.
How do I get a Gold Supervisor Card?
You can get your gold supervisor card by completing a relevant Level 3 Construction NVQ. Two of the most common qualifications to obtain this card are the NVQ level 3 in Occupational Work Supervision and the NVQ level 3 in Construction Contracting Operations. Once you have completed and passed your NVQ, you will then be able to go through the CSCS and complete the relevant test to obtain your card. You will have to pay the CSCS for the physical card and the required test, to be taken at one of their centres. How much does a Gold Supervisor Card cost?
The gold supervisor card will cost £36 and your H.S.E test will cost £22.50. Both of these can only be obtained through the CSCS themselves. In order to do this, you will need proof of your qualification.
The qualification itself can actually be the cheapest aspect of getting your gold supervisor card with Portland Training. Fully Funded Level 3 NVQs
