Fully Funded Courses in London!
We’re delighted to announce that we’re putting on more new fully funded courses in London! We’re continuing to deliver our popular AEB courses in the Capital for jobseekers looking to get back into employment.
With the help of the Mayor of London, we’ll be able to offer some brand new courses this year; namely our exciting new construction course (more on that later)along with our popular regulars!
Don’t worry, just because we’re offering some new courses in London this year doesn’t mean that we won’t be continuing to provide our AEB courses in other locations! We’re just as committed as ever to continuing our work in West Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, and all across the country.
Our Courses
Our courses are designed to help people get back into meaningful employment. Our tutors are brilliant at what they do, they provide engaging and inspiring courses that encourage learners sparking interest and passion to learn and develop, both professionally and personally. Learners are able to learn practical and physical skills, which are designed to be transferrable in their prospective working environment. Our courses are also designed to provide relevant and up to date skills.
Our Exciting New Course!
At Portland Training, we’ve long been delivering popular courses in construction, providing qualifications, practical and employability skills. However, in a modern world with a focus on sustainability we’re committed to not only doing our bit, but also ensuring that our learners are prepared with green skills to adapt to the new and evolving construction industry.
That’s why we’re excited to announce our new Fully Funded Course in London this year: Fast Track to Green Construction!
Who Can Do The Courses?
In order to attend our fully funded courses in London, you must meet certain eligibility criteria. Our courses are for those currently unemployed to find a way back into the workplace, so you must be unemployed(&in receipt of government benefits), 19+ years old and not in full time education. You must also be a resident of the GLA (Greater London Authority) area, you can check if your post code falls into this area here. If you’re a resident of Greater London but employed and receiving low income, you may also be eligible for our fully funded courses, so it’s best to get in contact with us and find out!
Where Will The Courses Be?
We operate all over Greater London so no matter where abouts you are in London, we’ll be able to provide a course for you! What Happens When I Finish a course?
Qualifications can not be understated in terms of employability; that’s why we offer fully funded qualifications with our courses to ensure you have legitimate and industry recognised certification to reinforce your newly-acquired skills. If you complete one of our fully funded courses in London, you will be put through for official certification- eg. a CSCS card or an SIA licence.
At Portland Training, we recognize the difficulties of getting into meaningful employment, and that’s why we offer employment progression assistance after you complete a course with us. We use our industry connections to locate exclusive and meaningful employment opportunities that align with the courses we offer. Our dedicated employment progression team will stay in touch after your course to assist you in your next steps.
Free Courses For Jobs: Fully Funded Level 3 Courses in London
In other exciting news, we’re also able to provide fully funded level 3 NVQs in construction this year in London as part of our partnership with Mayor of London.
Through the Free Courses for Jobs scheme, adults are able to undertake a level 3 qualification, and this includes our level 3 Construction NVQs!

If you’re currently employed, 19+, a London resident and don’t currently have a level 3 qualification, you may be eligible for one of our fully funded level 3 NVQs in construction!
