Portland Training are proud to announce that we are supporting the Royal British Legion Poppy appeal by selling poppies in and around Sheffield. From the start of November, our staff have been volunteering for the royal British legion selling poppies for their fantastic cause.
The Royal British Legion
The Royal British Legion are the country’s largest armed forces charity, with 180,000 members, 110,000 volunteers and a network of partners and charities; providing support wherever and whenever it is needed.
The Royal British Legion offers expert advice and guidance, supports recovery and rehabilitation, and facilitates the transition to civilian life for individuals, accompanying them every step of the way. This commitment extends not only to members of the Armed Forces but also to their families. Their support starts after one day of service and continues through life, long after service is over.
Every year, the Royal British Legion lead the nation in commemorating and honouring those who have served. This extends to those who lost their lives on active service in all conflicts; from the beginning of the first world war up until the present day, as well as all those who have served and their families.
Every November, the Royal British Legion distribute poppies to raise vital funds to help today’s armed forces community. At Portland Training, we are delighted to have helped with this appeal and assisting in raising funds for this great cause.
