We’re delighted to announce that Portland Training’s Wakefield site is now open and ready for learners! Our new site is specifically designed for our courses and will allow us to make them even more enjoyable and valuable for our learners.
We have successfully been delivering our fully funded courses in West Yorkshire since August 2021 to great reception, with our Fast Track to Construction course being one of the most popular choices!
Our Fast Track to Construction course in Wakefield allows learners to learn the essential basics of construction, obtaining their level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment award and subsequently, their Green CSCS card. In order to improve employability prospects and provide our learners with valuable qualifications, we also provide a NPORS Forward tipping dumper qualification.
Our new site is in close proximity to Birkwood Plant, which means we’re able to deliver our NPORS qualifications with ease.
Our new site is equipped with an abundance of tailor-made apparatus and ample space to complete practical work during the course. Our learners are able to learn practical aspects, preparing them for their future employment in the construction industry. Our new site even allows for all weather activities with a new roofed bay section! Massive thanks to our hard-working team for getting all of this built for our learners.
Portland Training’s Wakefield site will allow us to deliver the B.E.S.T possible experience for our learners, allowing for improved practical and theory based aspects of our courses. Our new courses for this academic year are scheduled to start this month and we’re so excited for our learners to try out the new site.
