About the Role

Enrolment Officer (Sheffield)

Responsible to: Enrolment & Engagement Manager

Purpose of Job:

To provide comprehensive engagement to all learners through effect information, advice, guidance . Ensuring we meet the needs of the learners at all times, ensuring eligibility and suitability for enrolment. Conducting enrolments in a professional, clear and concise manner whilst upholding the culture of Portland Training.

Key Duties and Responsibilities                 

  • Providing an excellent level of customer service.
  • To contact and develop a rapport with new and existing learners.
  • Attending stakeholder drop ins, job fairs and other marketing events.
  • Conducting initial assessments with learners.
  • Accurately completing all enrolment and exit paperwork with learners to a quality standard.
  • Providing effective CEIAG to the new learner as appropriate.
  • Manage your own diary efficiently.
  • Generate new referrals through promoting Portland Training’s provision.
  • Achieve monthly individual and team targets for enrolments and course attendance.
  • Reporting progress data and figures on a weekly basis to the Enrolment & Engagement Manager and Senior Management Team.
  • Undertake training where appropriate.
  • Update and maintain learner records including paper and electronic files.
  • Travel across national delivery sites and based at Head Office in Sheffield.

Skills Required

  • Experience of working within the sector or a similar environment
  • An understanding of challenges faced by the unemployed
  • Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Good organisational skills with an ability to prioritise work-load and meet deadlines
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft packages with a focus on Word and Excel
  • Desire to learn, progress and build a career in the training industry
  • Driving licence, own car and business insurance

Qualifications

  • A good standard of Maths and English
  • IAG qualification desirable

Salary

£22,000 – £24,000
