Green Construction

Are you looking for a career in construction? This qualification will support Londoners who want to work in the construction industry by giving them the essential skills to proceed to getting their Green CSCS Card. 

Couse participants will learn construction health and safety, greenskills , and will be able to obtain their Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment award. 

Portland Training has a commitment to providing impartial Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) for all learners to help them make informed decisions on their own future. 

As part of your enrolment process, you will have access to designated IAG staff to provide you with the support needed to help you make an informed decision regarding this course, making sure this it is right for you.

Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment

CITB accredited. 

Green Construction courses are available in various locations across Greater London.

19+yrs, unemployed and in receipt of government benefits or employed and earning less than £23,302.50 per annum.

Must be a full-time resident in the UK and live within the Greater London Authority (GLA) Area. You can check if your address falls into his area by using this map.

Initial Assessments in English and Maths and other eligibility checks will be carried out at enrolment.

This course will taught with consideration and adherence to green construction and sustainability. Assessment will include written assessments and the completion of a portfolio.

In addition, you must also pass a multiple-choice exam in order to get the Green CSCS card. 

If you meet the entry requirement criteria, this course is fully funded. Meaning you do not have to pay anything.

Portland Training may also be able to access a Learner Support Fund to offer financial support for learners who are facing financial hardship to help pay for things that are not covered in the course funding, such as travel to and from the course venue.

The Green Construction course is designed for people who would like to pursue a career in any construction in London. The course equips learners with the  skills to find employment on construction sites.

As part of this course, you will receive impartial advice and support as part of Portland Training’s ongoing Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) provision to enable you to make informed decisions on your future.

You will be assigned a designated Employment & Progression officer whos job it is to offer impartial support and guidance on your next steps. You will also receive ongoing employability training, including important training such as, interview techniques and CV writing.   

We also work with a range of local employers to help our learners gain employment on completion of their course.
